OMX Exchanges Observe Two Minutes of Silence


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 13, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Following the recommendation by the next EU President, Austria, the OMX Exchanges will observe two minutes of silence tomorrow Thursday, July 14, 2005, as a mark of respect to the commemoration of the victims of the London terrorist attacks.

The trading system will not be closed down. However, Stockholm Stock Exchange, Helsinki Stock Exchange and Copenhagen Stock Exchange request that their members also observe two minutes of silence and refrain from all trading activities between 13.00 and 13.02 CET. Tallinn Stock Exchange, Riga Stock Exchange and Vilnius Stock Exchange, where the trading day ends at 13.00 CET, will observe the two minutes of silence internally and request that their trading members also observe the silent moment.
