Barry Switzer, Bill McCartney and Mack Brown Join the Sports Alumni Inc.'s American Football Alumni Team

HENDERSON, Nev., July 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sports Alumni, Inc.'s (Pink Sheets:SPNI) new American Football Alumni (AFA) organization is proud to announce the addition of Barry Switzer, Bill McCartney and Mack Brown to the American Football Alumni team. AFA is the only one of its kind that helps former players and coaches recapture the energy and excitement of their playing years. Launched as a national organization in April, American Football Alumni (AFA) celebrates the unique culture of football. Membership is open to anyone who has played high school, college or professional football.

A dozen of the most recognizable names in the game, both players and coaches, are active on its advisory board including Barry Switzer of University of Oklahoma and Dallas Cowboys fame who won three national NCAA championships and the Super Bowl in 1995, Bill McCartney, who lead the University of Colorado to the national championship in 1990, and Mack Brown, one of the NCAA's winningest coaches.

"It happens to all football players. Your playing days are over and you're sentenced to the bleachers. No more insider on-field or sideline perspectives for you. And it probably bugs you that no one seems to care," says American Football Alumni President, Matt Totty.

"We launched American Football Alumni as a way for players and coaches to get back into and stay in 'the game', share old and present-day stories, find all those guys they played ball with or coached, participate in national college football polls and help develop positions on major issues facing the sport today," says Totty. "Most importantly, we want the former players whether they are 19 or 65, to enjoy being with the old team and enjoy the culture of football, you see because once one has played football they are always a member of football; it really does change their lives. Just as coaches told us it would."

"No other sport binds players together like football. It's a great culture," says Barry Switzer. "Through American Football Alumni, we intend to make members a part of the action again. Players learn a lot of valuable disciplines while participating on football teams. American Football Alumni is a way for them to keep those traditions alive while celebrating their passion for the game. For the average guy, there has never been anything like this before. I've been in the biggest games and around the best players, and it was a thrill. Being on this Alumni team helps me keep that feeling alive," says Switzer.

"I am excited to be a part of American Football Alumni, I think it is a great organization and has an opportunity to really enhance former players lives," adds Mack Brown.

"Football is fellowship, and that is the AFA, pure and simple," says Bill McCartney.

"For the first time, players and coaches from high school, college and pro levels now can stay involved in the game through the various networking opportunities developed by the American Football Alumni. This organization can and I believe will impact our country in a very positive way. I look forward to being apart of AFA."

Its web site, www.americanfootballalumni.com, serves as the playing field where members can reconnect with former teammates and friends; vote in national and regional college football polls; express views and participate in lobbying efforts on behalf of AFA on major sports issues; gain access to valuable football news, sports medicine, nutrition, personal financial and strategic business planning; participate in professional business exchange opportunities; and enjoy a variety of other benefits.
