IC Soft Releases icTracker 6.0 for Web-based Project Management

ORINDA, Calif., July 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- IC Soft Releases icTracker 6.0 for Web-based Project Management

New cost tracking functionality and optimized navigation make icTracker 6.0 a mature project management software choice for organizations of all sizes.

-- Usability enhancements make icTracker 6.0 even faster to master
    and easier to use.
-- icTracker offers a sleek, affordable alternative to overblown
    project management products.
-- icTracker adopters now include Chiron, A&G Healthcare Services,
Oberto Sausage, Ryland Homes, and the Oklahoma Farm Bureau.

IC Soft Chairman Harry Idachi today announced the release of icTracker 6.0, a mature version of the company's project management and productivity enhancement software. "We've added the ability to track project costs over time and against projections," Hidachi said. "This is the last feature icTracker needed to be a real contender in the project management software market."

The new release also consolidates many ease-of-use enhancements to the product made in the last year, as icTracker customers like the biotech firm Chiron put the software to use managing real teams performing real work. It's now easier for a single user to move among tasks and to associate problems. Improved search and sort capabilities make icTracker's document storage capabilities even more efficient.

"IC Soft is still small and agile enough to work with our customers to improve and customize the product," Hidachi says. "If you want a particular search capability, or a particular backend server, we're willing to work with you on it.

"We understand the importance of being able to move fast and leverage the assets you already have. We understand that a good project management suite should optimize your workflow, not slow it down with a lot of features that aren't relevant to your business," Hidachi says. "Every time we add something to icTracker, we ask ourselves, 'Is this going to make teams more efficient, or is it just red tape?'"

icTracker exploits the functionality of Windows-based products already installed, without adding significantly to system overhead. Its simple, sensible Project/Task/Problem structure adapts easily to the user's business and preferred ways of working. Because it can use the Internet to connect dispersed workers and worksites, icTracker is a powerful and low cost way to manage virtual collaboration.

"No matter how spread out your business is, your teams have one central place to share, store, track each other's progress and communicate in a timely and thorough way," Hidachi says. "I think its lineage as a bug tracking system really makes icTracker all about accountability. If you want to manage your teams efficiently, those aren't bad roots to have."
