360training Announces Bill Vear as New VP of Hospitality Education

AUSTIN, Texas, July 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- 360training announces Bill Vear as the new Vice President of Hospitality Education. "It's rare finding someone with the dream to be the catalyst for growth while possessing the right industry experience to actually achieve it. Bill has both the passion to grow and the industry knowledge," said Ed Sattar, CEO of 360training, "We feel like we hit the jackpot."

The business relationships Vear has formed over his career seem to have been leading him to his latest position.

When he first moved to Austin from Chicago, Vear taught high school at Del Valley. While there he partnered the school with the Texas Restaurants Association's (TRA) Entrepreneur 101 program. This highly successful program teaches students how to start and operate their own business by building a real working restaurant inside the school.

He then transitioned to the TRA as their Senior Education Director where he spent the last seven years representing the 5000 members of TRA and their Education Foundation. While there he developed the curriculum for culinary programs that have now been adopted by about 75 schools.

Vear also helped pioneer the first state approved online training and certification for food and alcohol safety, attracting the attention of 360training.

"By offering online certification to restaurant owners and managers, we can make it easier for them to comply with food and alcohol safety regulations while saving them time and money," said Vear. While in his new position, Vear said one of his goals at 360training is to bring quality standardized training to remote rural areas that would otherwise have difficulty attending food handling and safety classes. "As long as have an internet connection, you deserve to get the same quality training you'd get if you lived in New York City," said Vear, "And ultimately, the public will benefit from this."

In addition to a degree in education, Vear brings with him 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry with positions ranging from consultant to manager to trainer.
