BURNABY, British Columbia, July 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unity Wireless Corporation (OTCBB:UTYW), a developer of integrated wireless subsystems, power amplifiers and coverage enhancement solutions, announced today that it completed the US$120,000 sale and delivery of fully integrated wireless subsystems to a North American-based tier-1 customer.
The systems that Unity supplied to this customer are part of a compact 3G (third generation) CDMA base station that is now being actively marketed to government end-users for an all IP (internet protocol)-based mobile solution for tactical or first responder situations. Including the sale announced today, Unity Wireless has recognized more than US$1 million from sales of this system since the company announced the project in March 2004. Systems sold to date have been primarily deployed for field trials with operators of commercial wireless networks. Sale into the government market is an attractive new business opportunity for the company.
