ASU International Appoints David Evans Chief Executive of London Operations


HOUSTON, July 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HCC) announced today that David J. Evans has joined its underwriting agency subsidiary ASU International, Inc. (ASU) as Managing Director of their London based operations. ASU is based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, with offices in Los Angeles, New York City and London.

Mr. Evans received a BCom Honours Degree from the University of Birmingham and has been in the insurance industry since 1998. He has spent time as a broker with Rattner Mackenzie Ltd., also a subsidiary of HCC, where he was responsible for the ASU account and most recently was employed as an underwriter at RJ Kiln Syndicate at Lloyd's.
