Y-Tel has been building for the future by setting up a VoIP network in preparation for deployment of their newly developed Wi-Fi/Hotspot phone. This new innovation offers a complete turnkey solution for simple hook up and connectivity to the Internet. Todd Wallace, Chief Technology Officer for Y-Tel and the primary architect of several VoIP networks, has been working with the Multiprotocol Session Controller (MSC) from NexTone for years. Y-Tel is using this intelligent device to provide the foundation for a carrier-class VoIP network capable of delivering voice connectivity from Wi-Fi hotspots.
