HAMILTON, Bermuda, July 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of SeaDrill Ltd. is pleased to inform that the Company has completed a private placement of 10 million shares at NOK 42. -- per share. The shares were subscribed by eight international financial institutions.
The proceeds from the offering, approx. USD 63.5 million, will mainly be used to fund the Company's investment in Apexindo. The shares were placed by Carnegie ASA. Total number of shares in SeaDrill Ltd. after the issue is 208,039,762.
