International Precious Minerals Group Inc. Announces Intent to Expand Management Staff

KEN CARYL RANCH, Colo., Aug. 1, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- International Precious Minerals Group, Inc (Pink Sheets:IPMG) announced today that it intends to expand its management staff as a result of the acquisition of GUL Mining Inc.'s concessions in Cambodia. The company has been accepting resumes from qualified mining executives for the past two weeks in an effort to accomplish this purpose.

"Our recent involvement in Cambodia requires that we prepare for what we anticipate will be an intense effort to further develop the GUL properties," stated IPMG CEO Brian Robertson. "We believe we have a very strong foundation in our present senior staff here at IPMG. William Boberg, alone, has had many years of experience with several superior mining operations in various parts of the world. However, if we are to hit the road running in Cambodia, I believe we will need to add to all that Bill Boberg and I bring to the table. We have many projects in the pipeline. If we are to see those projects through to their fruition, competent personnel are a must."

IPMG's current senior management includes Brian Robertson, President and CEO. Robertson has worked in numerous fields of exploration and geology. He had acted as President and CEO of Sierra Diamond Corporation from early 2003 until April 2005 when IPMG was created. Other industry experience includes petroleum lease geology with Syncrude Canada Ltd., hard rock exploration with Bond Gold Canada Ltd., soft rock and diamond exploration with Monopros Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of DeBeers, surveying and mine engineering with Canada Gypsum Co. Ltd., and environmental and hydrogeology with Conestoga Rovers and Associates Ltd.

IPMG's W. William Boberg currently acts as Vice President of Exploration and as a Director of International Precious Minerals, Inc. Mr. Boberg brings more than 35 years experience in international mineral exploration and development with the past 15 years mostly involved in Africa. Prior to the Liberian civil war, he managed an exploration and development program in Liberia for Western Mining Corporation of Australia and also has worked in Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana and Burkina Faso in West Africa. Since 1993 he has been president and director of Africa Mineral Resource Specialists Inc, working in over 20 countries throughout Africa.
