Frame Destination, Inc. Fills Void in Photography with Elegant Frames in Non-Standard Sizes

DALLAS, Aug. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- When amateur photographer Mark Rogers started researching frames for his own digital prints, he discovered frame companies simply did not offer the non-standard sized frames needed to fit the unique shape of digital prints. For example, he found many 13x19 prints available, but not one single company sold 13x19 frames. Another very common paper size used in digital photography, 8.5x11, was available only in certificate frames and not in fine art frames. These and other challenges inspired Mark to found Frame Destination, Inc. (http://www.framedestination.com).

Rogers states, "I was really frustrated with the lack of frame sizes for 13x19 and other print sizes from the usual suppliers. I also found it hard to find standard-size frames that help reduce fading and not cause yellowing."

Armed with the research and know-how to produce new types of advanced frames, Rogers opened Frame Destination, Inc. in April of 2004. Starting out in a modest brick-and-mortar warehouse location, the website, http://www.framedestination.com, was launched to meet the ever-growing need for museum and archival-quality frames in non-standard sizes. Frame Destination, Inc., primarily a web-based company, has already grown out of its first home and moved into a new building where customers can shop in the convenient showroom.

Frame Destination, Inc. currently markets acid-free, conservation quality frames in wood or metal, complete with Cyro acrylic glazing and Artcare-treated Bainbridge mat/mount components. Rogers designs and produces these special frames to serve amateur and professional photographers for both digital and film photography.

Frame Destination, Inc. is the first frame company to focus on the new and unique needs of the digital photographer. Unlike other companies selling frames, Frame Destination, Inc. is the first to specialize in frames -- and specifically non-standard-size, fine art frames -- for photographers. Frame Destination, Inc. solves the problem of photo industry frame sizes (8x10, 11x14, 16x20) that do not match printing industry paper sizes (8.5x11, 11x17, 13x19, 17x22).

"Frame Destination, Inc. has definitely filled a hole in a market where photographers were frequently faced with the problem of photo frame sizes not matching common printing paper sizes," says Harald Johnson, author of the best-selling book, 'Mastering Digital Printing, Second Edition'. "Mark has developed a whole line of framing products for fine art photography that are simply the best. I use them myself!"

Frames Destination, Inc. sells simple and elegant ready-made and custom frames, as well as frame accessories such as mats and mounting board, picture mounting hinging tissue, photo corners, and clear bags for displaying mounted prints for resale.
