eWAN1 Contracts for 50 Million Minutes as it Prepares August 15 Start of Voice Over Internet Service

SANTA ANA, Calif., Aug. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- eWAN1, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EWAN) announced today that it has selected The Minute Company as its termination partner for its on-schedule August 15, 2005 commencement of Voice Over Internet Protocol service. The initial contract calls for a minimum monthly purchase by eWAN of 50 million minutes, ramping up to an expected 100 million minutes within six months. "We anticipate generating at least $250,000 per month in revenue, and look toward $5 million within 12 months," said William J. Kettle, eWAN's CEO. eWAN's VOIP service will initially be marketed to small- to medium-retail businesses in the U.S., including the SOHO (Small Office - Home Office) environment.

"Direct Marketing has always been the key to eWAN's sales strategy success," commented Scott Kettle, eWAN's Chief Technical Officer. "Over the next quarter, we will contact two million potential customers with invitations to subscribe to eWAN's low-cost suite of services. The news of eWAN's ability to provide local and long distance call service at 2.5 to 3 cents per minute, which also frees subscribers from the obligation to use their local phone companies for a new and expanded menu including Voice Over Internet, Video, and sending data over their phone lines, is expected to result in 15,000 new subscribers."

eWAN will next roll out a series of targeted advertisements in business magazines aimed at the SOHO audience, including Entrepreneur, Money, Worth, Success, Airlines in-flight, Amtrak, Greyhound in-transit magazines, Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Financial Times, Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, Inc., and on electronic media such as CNBC, MSNBC, and CNN.

On June 28, 2005, eWAN announced it had signed a Letter of Intent to acquire High Desert Wireless Broadband Communications, LLC (HDWBC), based in Mojave, California. HDWBC provides advanced data interconnectivity solutions to homes and businesses from the Tehachapi Mountains to the Mojave Desert, the location of Edwards Air Force base. Following eWAN's Due Diligence, the transaction is expected to close no later than August 15, 2005.
