GuestMetrics, Inc. Announces Strategic Relationship With National Distributing Company

ASHBURN, Va., Aug. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Brian P. Barrett, President and CEO of GuestMetrics, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GESM), a leading provider of Customer Insight solutions for the hospitality industry and its manufacturers, announced today that it has entered into a strategic relationship with National Distributing Company (NDC), one of the largest distributors of beverage alcohol products. NDC will refer the GuestMetrics Customer Insight product to its restaurant customer base and purchase on-premise beverage alcohol data for the trade areas in which they are doing business.

"We are excited about the opportunity that is represented by our relationship with National Distributing Company. Their extensive, highly trained sales force will provide an additional sales channel for GuestMetrics and accelerate our penetration in 10 key markets," stated Mr. Barrett. "In addition, as one of the leading Category Management companies in the adult beverage arena, NDC will utilize the on-premise data to provide additional value to restaurateurs."

By capturing check-level detail from the restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system, GuestMetrics has the ability to provide on-premise data reports. NDC will have access to brand-level detail, including share of plate and share of category, giving them a window into consumer behavior and a turn-key solution to evaluate promotions. Mr. Dirk van Renesse, Vice-President of Category and Technical Management, stated, "This relationship will continue to grow our commitment to offer the best services to our customers and suppliers. As category management has changed the way of doing business in the off-premise channel, GuestMetrics and NDC will work together to set higher standards in marketing and consumer understanding in the on-premise channel. This information will help our customers to better serve their patrons. By understanding the customers that visit each establishment, we at NDC will be poised to consult on the opportunities that our restaurant partners need to grow their business."
