Piccadilly Restaurants Offers New Menu Items

Chicken Fried Chicken, Angus Chop-House Steak and Blackened Shrimp Pasta Add Cajun Flavor to Southern Offerings

BATON ROUGE, La., Aug. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Piccadilly Restaurants LLC, one of the nation's largest cafeteria-style restaurant chains, today added three new items to their line-up of home-style meals:

-- Chicken Fried Chicken. A well-known comfort food with a spicy
twist. The chicken is breaded and coated with cracker crumbs
before frying to add texture and flavor. The meal is then topped
    with an original jalapeno gravy.
-- The Angus Chop-House Steak. A value and quality-driven addition
to the Piccadilly line-up. The 10-ounce Angus steak is grilled
to perfection and topped with either caramelized sweet onion
    and/or a mushroom peppercorn sauce.
-- The Blackened Shrimp Pasta. A simple and delicious Cajun-
seafood dish. 50/60 shrimp sauteed with a blackened seasoning
    and tossed with linguine pasta.

"The Chicken Fried Chicken, Angus Chop-House Steak, and Blackened Shrimp Pasta are not only great meals but great values. We are proud to offer these delicious new meals to our guests," said Gino Scalfani, Executive Chef of Piccadilly. "Piccadilly is committed to always treating our guests to a fresh, mouth-watering meal at a great price and these new items are some of our best yet."

The new menu selections are each available with 2 mouth-watering sides and fresh-baked bread for $6.99. The meals are available in all Piccadilly restaurants beginning Wednesday, August 3.
