Sciax Corp. Announces Agreement to Release Multi-Platinum Recording Artist Heavy D.


BAY CITY, Mich. and TORONTO, Aug. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sciax Corp. (Pink Sheets:SCXC) and RMD Entertainment Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sciax Corp., announced today that an agreement has been signed to release the new CD of multi-platinum recording artist 'Heavy D' through RMD Entertainment Inc. and Bungalo Records. Bungalo Records is exclusively distributed by Universal Music and Video Distribution. Multi-platinum recording artist 'Heavy D', now referred to as 'Hev', has completed a new album with tracks produced by Sean 'Puffy' Combs, Pharell of the Neptunes, and an appearance by Grammy nominated artist Anthony Hamilton. Giorgio Costonis, CEO of Sciax Corp. and President of RMD said, "This is the type of project we were looking for to effectively brand the RMD name in the Hip Hop market place. It is a project from an established artist that solidifies our relationship with Bungalo Records and makes a very strong statement to Universal Music and Video Distribution that RMD Entertainment and Bungalo Records are going to be bringing high profile projects to the table now and in the future."

Born in Jamaica, West Indies, 'Heavy D' grew up in Mount Vernon, New York, where he started developing his rap skills at eight years of age. He formed the group 'Heavy D and the Boyz' and earned three Grammy nominations selling over six million records. 'Heavy D' also served as Chairman of Uptown Records, working with the multi-platinum group Jodeci and artist Mary J. Blige. He continues to produce records for artists including Jay-Z, Lenny Kravitz, Timbaland, Carl Thomas and Toni Braxton.
