First Horizon Msaver to Share Expertise About Health Savings Accounts on Chris Evert's 'Today's Health' Television Program

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Aug. 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- First Horizon Msaver executive E. Craig Keohan will lend his knowledge of health savings accounts to Chris Evert's "Today's Health" television show on August 11.

For more than a decade, tennis legend Evert has hosted the show, aimed at exploring the latest innovations in health care and medicine. The TV program reaches about 75 percent of the U.S. households through its syndication, primarily on late morning and afternoon time slots on weekends on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox affiliates.

Trish Holt, senior associate producer, commented, "The more we researched the trend towards consumer-driven health care, it became apparent that one name kept emerging as a leader in this arena: E. Craig Keohan. My Emmy-award winning team of writers and I recognized that he was and continues to be on the forefront of consumer-driven health care and would be the ideal candidate to help further define the topic of HSAs to our viewers."

First Horizon Msaver (formerly MSAver) is one of the pioneers in the consumer-driven health care industry and has become a leader in administering health savings accounts (HSAs). HSAs are designed to give consumers more control over their health care expenses.

"We are very honored as an organization to be selected by Today's Health to participate in this very timely segment dedicated to HSAs. Participating with 'Today's Health' on this project demonstrates our commitment to further enhance the understanding of HSAs nationally. We intend to use this opportunity to develop additional educational media that will assist our national insurance partners, self-funded employer groups, affinity program partners and third party administrators with their HSA education and promotional efforts," said Keohan, president of First Horizon Msaver.

The content of the show provides insightful information for individual consumers, employers, employees and physicians. Interested consumers and employers will have an opportunity to request an Msaver guide entitled, "10 Questions You Should Ask About HSAs" by visiting www.fivestarproductions.com and clicking on "Today's Health."

The Medicare Act of 2003 expanded the health benefits opportunities available to employers and their employees by authorizing the use of health savings accounts. Employees can make pre-tax or tax-deductible contributions into their HSAs to pay for routine doctor visits, prescription drugs, and other eligible medical expenses up to their health insurance deductible.

Nationally, many employers of all sizes are incorporating health savings accounts into their benefit plans as a way to not only cut costs but also to enhance the value of the benefits to employees.

First Horizon MSAver is part of the First Horizon National Corporation (NYSE:FHN) family of companies. The parent company is one of the top 30 financial services companies in the U.S.
