Ultra Pure Water Technologies, Inc. Announces Initiation of Manufacturing Agreement for production of `Ice Island' Systems


LAFAYETTE, La., Aug. 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ultra Pure Water Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:UPWT) (Ultra Pure) announced today that the company has initiated a Manufacturing Agreement with CMC Refrigeration, Inc. for the production of the company's proprietary "Ice Island" system. CMC Refrigeration, Inc. (CMC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Courtesy Manufacturing, Inc. located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Upon initiation of the Manufacturing Agreement, CMC will immediately begin to manufacture and supply the "Ice Island" automated ice bagging units. In addition, CMC will supply a custom manufactured ice merchandiser cold storage unit specifically designed for use with the "Ice Island" automated ice bagging units.

Guy Lombardo, President of CMC Refrigeration stated, "We are extremely pleased that Ultra Pure has chosen CMC to provide engineering and manufacturing services for the production of their proprietary "Ice Island" units. We anticipate building a relationship that extends well beyond the commitment of utilizing our state-of-the-art automated manufacturing facilities for the production of the `Ice Island' units."

Effective July 1, 2005, Ultra Pure has engaged Kirkpatrick Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP to serve as the company's securities counsel.

Effective July 1, 2005, Ultra Pure has engaged Rachlin Cohen & Holtz LLP to serve as principal accountant to audit the company's financial statements.
