New Power Plant Unveiled

SDG&E Debuts Miramar Energy Facility for Summer Use


REMINDER, Aug. 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) --



 WHAT:    SDG&E will unveil a new, 46-megawatt power plant to be
          used when energy use is at its highest this summer.  The
          combustion turbine will provide added resources for San
          Diego at a time when supplies are expected to be tight
          but adequate.

 WHEN:    The plant will be open to media from 1:30 p.m. to
          2:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, August 11, 2005 for
          media availability.
