Knobias, Inc. Announces UCI Medical Affiliates Inc. as the SPOT of the Week in Its Small-Cap ClipReport

RIDGELAND, Miss., Aug. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Knobias, Inc. (OTCBB:KNBS) announced today that it has selected UCI Medical Affiliates Inc. (OTCBB:UCIA) as the SPOT of the week in the Knobias Small-Cap "ClipReport."

UCI Medical Affiliates, Inc. provides non-medical management and administrative services for a network of 45 freestanding medical centers, 44 located throughout South Carolina (30 as Doctors Care and 14 as Progressive Physical Therapy Services) and one Doctors Care location in Knoxville, Tenn. UCIA's centers compete on the basis of accessibility, including evening and weekend hours, walk-in care, the attractiveness of a statewide network to large employers and third-party payors.

The Bulls say:

Demanding Convenience: The "house-call" days are a distant memory and the concept of a "family doctor" is fading. Today's family demands high-quality health care, but on THEIR schedule. UCIA'a business model is built around convenient, quality health care. Its growth reflects success in meeting the demands of today's non-stop world. Patient encounters in 2004 increased almost 8 percent to 506,000 from 2003. Since 2002, UCIA has increased its number of centers from 36 to 44.

The Bears say:

Troubled Past: On October 20, 1998, UCIA was delisted for trading on the Nasdaq Smallcap Market. On November 2, 2001, UCIA filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11. By August 8, 2002, the bankruptcy court confirmed UCIA's reorganization plan and the company emerged from Chapter 11 protection but continues to make payments to creditors.
