Stage Set for Discussion on Safeguards and DR-CAFTA


EL MONTE, Calif., Aug. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- No apparel sourcing trade show is better prepared for gaining information on current hot-button international apparel sourcing issues than the ASAP Show. Mr. Tom Travis, Managing Partner of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., one of the international trade firms behind the DR-CAFTA movement, will discuss how the free trade agreement is changing the landscape of apparel sourcing and Mr. Jim Leonard, Chairman of the Committee for Implementation of Textile Agreements (CITA), the interagency group chaired by the U.S. Department of Commerce and responsible for approving the safeguards will discuss their reasoning for the safeguard measures and other programs in place to protect the U.S. textile and apparel industry.
