Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. Announces the Appointment of Raul J. Cuza as Executive Vice President of the Gem-Latina Music Division


MONTREAL, Aug. 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Grand Entertainment & Music Inc. (Pink Sheets:GENM) announced today that the company has appointed Raul J. Cuza, a senior entertainment executive with over 15 years experience in the Latin music industry, as Executive Vice President of the company's Gem-Latina music division. Mr. Cuza most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Eye For Talent, a leading world music talent agency, where he was directly in charge of booking, sales, and marketing for a vast array of international clients. His lengthy career has included positions as Director of Production, Music and Artistic Development, and his work has spanned the globe while focusing primarily on the Canadian and Latin American markets. Furthermore, Mr. Cuza has managed the operations of many multi-million dollar projects involving various Canadian music festivals and Latin American marketing ventures.

Mr. Cuza will oversee the daily operations of the Gem-Latina music division and will bring new development opportunities to the company. His wealth of experience has already proven to be an asset, as he was instrumental in the recent signing of the Gem/Plein Sud joint venture to Universal Music France. Currently, Mr. Cuza is focusing on the signing of over a half dozen potential artists to the Gem-Latina label. He is also finalizing the current production of the upcoming releases of Convoy Cubano, Qbanito, and many others.

Convoy Cubano: The Company is currently in production and post production on several albums to be released by the end of the year. Grand Entertainment & Music Inc. will begin mastering the Convoy Cubano album within a month and has set a release date for November 2005. Fred Berlin stated "We had originally set the release for earlier in the year, but the joint venture with Universal Music France and Qbanito forced us to move the release date for Convoy Cubano back a few months.
