DIAMOND BAR, Calif., Aug. 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SE Global Equities Corp. (OTCBB:SEGB) ("SEG") reports that further to SEG's news release issued on August 12, 2005 relating to the filing of a Preliminary Proxy Circular and the announcement of a Special Meeting of its stockholders, SEG has now filed a Definitive Proxy Circular with the Securities and Exchange Commission and mailed these proxy materials to its stockholders on August 22, 2005. The items before the Special Meeting relate to the transaction between SEG and Sun Media Investment Holdings Ltd. of Shanghai, China. The Special Meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on September 12, 2005.
