Optio Partners with BravePoint to Deliver Business Process Solutions for QAD Manufacturing Customers

ALPHARETTA, Ga., Aug. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- BravePoint Inc., a leading QAD consulting firm, and Optio Software (OTCBB:OPTO) today announced a strategic partnership that will deliver business process solutions to manufacturing customers using QAD's MFG/PRO application.

Under the strategic agreement, BravePoint Inc. will provide MFG/PRO-specific development and implementation expertise to help Optio deliver new levels of integration between QAD applications and document-intensive business processes.

Optio will deliver new product adapters that will connect documents and their data to the MFG/PRO application helping customers automate and streamline error-prone document processes such as procure-to-pay.

Optio and BravePoint jointly demonstrated one such product, the QAD Adapter for invoice-processing adapter, at the May QAD Explore User Conference in Washington, D.C. This invoice-processing adapter enables data from accounts payable invoices to be uploaded directly into and validated in MFG/PRO. By automating this document-intensive process, organizations will increase data quality, reduce errors, processing time and payment cycle times, allowing them to take advantage of vendor discounts. This adapter will also allow MFG/PRO users direct access to Optio's document archive system, Optio e.ComPresent(tm), from within their QAD applications to facilitate document image access and dispute resolution.

"We are pleased to combine our extensive QAD application expertise with Optio's document process optimization capabilities," said Scott Skillin, practice manager at BravePoint. "We believe Optio's document optimization solutions will deliver significant value to our manufacturing customers using MFG/PRO who want to improve the speed, efficiency and productivity of their inbound and outbound document-intensive business processes."

As an Optio channel partner, BravePoint will also resell Optio's industrial-strength document automation solutions and provide related implementation, support, programming and consulting services to customers across its MFG/PRO practice. The reseller agreement encompasses Optio Business Process Solutions(tm): e.ComIntegrate(tm), e.ComPresent and Optio Imaging Solutions(tm). Together, these solutions help organizations reduce the costs and inefficiencies of document-intensive processes such as manufacturing, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and distribution.

"Optio has helped more than 5,000 customers around the world optimize their document-driven processes," said Paul O'Callaghan, Optio's senior vice president of sales. "By combining our document automation expertise with BravePoint's deep QAD process-specific knowledge, we will be able to deliver more powerful solutions that help QAD customers take their document-intensive processes to new levels of efficiency and productivity."
