About the Durham Strategic Energy Alliance

The Durham Strategic Energy Alliance is a non-profit organization of businesses, institutions and government committed to promoting and building upon Durham Region's unparalleled strengths in the energy sector. Central to this is the establishment of the Clarington Energy Business Park which will become the premier location in the province for businesses researching, developing and/or demonstrating new technologies in the green energy and environmental sectors

About First National Power

First National Power is actively developing GREEN OASIS(tm) ("GO"), an environmentally friendly micro utility unit designed to supply power to off-grid communities, remote exploration and construction sites, and environmental disasters. In addition to the GO unit, the Company is also in discussion with developers of other state-of-the-art green energy products which provide green power in a variety of formats. Most of these companies have completed their product development but require marketing and development assistance to commercialize their products. The Company has also recently entered into an agreement to acquire a 40-acre site in a proposed new energy business park, which is expected to play host to private and public businesses focusing on advancing and applying new energy technologies. First National is currently exploring the viability of establishing a manufacturing facility on this property that would showcase the range of products that could be offered. These activities will enable the Company to better meet the global green house reduction targets established by the Kyoto Accord signed by approximately 160 countries.
