Northrop Grumman Participates on Flagship Team for U.S. Navy and U.S. Department of Defense


NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 26, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has announced its participation in Flagship Team, a consortium of five high-performance companies that will pursue work to provide industry human-capital-management best practices and processes to the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Department of Defense at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in New Orleans.

The companies that comprise Flagship Team include: CellExchange, Northrop Grumman, Anteon, CommTech Industries and Blue Skies Consulting.

As a member of Flagship Team, Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector brings its human resource management system integration expertise as well as the company's experience managing other large-scale, complex, geographically disparate programs. The company also has significant systems-engineering, development and personnel systems administration skills.

Northrop Grumman has 19 Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 ratings, more than any other company in the defense and IT industries nationwide. These proven CMMI Level 5 processes will enable Northrop Grumman to partner with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center to help deliver full life-cycle support for integrated information management and information technology solutions.
