Nano-Proprietary, Inc. to Exhibit Breakthrough Technologies to European Market During NanoEurope 2005

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 31, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nano-Proprietary, Inc. (OTCBB:NNPP), through its wholly owned subsidiary Applied Nanotech, Inc. (ANI), is unveiling several new technologies to the European market next month during NanoEurope 2005 at the Swiss Fair Center of Olma Messen St.Gallen in Switzerland. From its exhibition booth in the U.S. Pavilion, Applied Nanotech will present its strategy and technologies.

The company plans to launch newly introduced technologies, such as carbon nanotube (CNT) electron emission for the next generation of mercury-free flat lamps to be utilized as backlights for large area LCD TVs; the advanced low-cost hydrogen sensor; PhotoScrub(tm), thin nanocolumnar film coated on a flexible cloth that composes pollutants at the molecular level in gases and liquids by the photocatalytic effect; and NanoShooter(tm), which is suitable for implantation and surface modification of nanomaterials deposited on other surfaces, such as silicon wafers, glass substrates, ceramic sheets, carbon plates, metallic films, etc.

"These technologies demonstrate how our expertise in nanotechnology can bring efficiencies to businesses and added quality to other companies' products," stated Dr. Zvi Yaniv, CEO of Applied Nanotech. "Having nearly a decade of experience using nanometric materials and processes has made us a valuable solution provider for product development and manufacturing processes."

The U.S. Pavilion is slated as a special attraction during NanoEurope 2005. As the leading trade show in Europe, NanoEurope is now placing focus on the United States and the country's interest in Europe as an important marketplace.
