HELSINKI, Finland, Sept. 1, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Metso Paper will supply a complete tissue machine to Lincoln Paper and Tissue of Lincoln, Maine, USA. The machine is scheduled to start production during the third quarter of 2006. The value of the order is less than EUR 10 million.
The machine will represent the new Advantage DCT100 tissue machine concept, and will have a nominal trim width of 2.7 m (106 in.), a maximum operating speed of 6,560 ft/min (2,000 m/min), and a daily production of 80-100 tons of high-quality napkin, towel and bathroom tissue grades.
Lincoln Paper and Tissue is a leading U.S. manufacturer of high quality paper, tissue, and pulp products providing niche-market paper products to quality-minded customers worldwide. Lincoln Paper and Tissue produces 140,000 t/year of bleached kraft pulp from hardwood and sawdust. Pulp is converted into 72,000 tons of paper, 36,000 tons of tissue and 30,000 tons of market pulp.
