CORONA, Calif., Sept. 1, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nationwide Beverage Bottling Corporation (Pink Sheets:NBVB) announced today that it has received a large order for bottled water for support of Hurricane Katrina victim relief efforts.
Steve Rice, President and CEO of Nationwide, stated, "We have received an initial order on behalf of FEMA for 375,000 gallons of bottled water to be provided to victims of Hurricane Katrina being housed in the Astrodome in Houston, Texas. This order translates into a delivery of over 80 truckloads of our half-gallon and one-gallon Purified Water products." Mr. Rice added, "To fill this unprecedented order, we are adding a third production shift and will be operating around the clock in order to rush delivery of this desperately needed commodity to the victims of this terrible disaster. In addition, we have offered a special pricing arrangement as our contribution to the efforts to assist those left homeless."
