Offshore Technology Conference donates $100,000 for Hurricane Katrina Relief


RICHARDSON, Texas, Sept. 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) announced today that it is donating $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist in relief efforts in the Gulf Coast communities affected by Hurricane Katrina. OTC is operated by 14 professional societies and trade associations representing all aspects of the offshore industry, which sponsor an annual technology conference in Houston.

"The Gulf Coast region that has been devastated by the hurricane is the center of US offshore operations, and also is the home of many members of the OTC sponsoring societies and industry professionals who attend OTC. We feel it is important to support the relief efforts through this donation," said Arnis Judzis, chairman of the 2006 OTC Board of Directors.
