The Pantry Schedules Conference Call to Discuss Impact of Hurricane Katrina


SANFORD, N.C., Sept. 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Pantry, Inc. (Nasdaq:PTRY), the leading independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern U.S., today announced that it will host a conference call at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday, September 8, 2005. The purpose of the call will be to provide interested parties with an update on the impact of Hurricane Katrina and related developments in the energy markets on the Company's operations.
