BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Piccadilly Restaurants LLC is partnering with the Salvation Army to collect provisions for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Piccadilly Restaurants are available for those looking to donate non-perishable food, blankets, linens, toiletries and infant care items to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. Drop boxes are located in the 116 operating Piccadilly Restaurants; currently, 11 New Orleans, LA and one Biloxi, MS location remained closed. All gifts collected will be given to the Salvation Army as they provide food and shelter to the thousands effected by the disaster.

"We know first hand the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina as many of our restaurants, and hundreds of our employees, have been displaced by this storm. We want to do our part in supporting our gulf coast neighbors. Piccadilly is proud to open our restaurants as a resource for customers who want to donate," said Azam Malik, president, Piccadilly Restaurants. "We are so grateful for the Salvation Army and are honored to help them as they help others."
