BURNABY, British Columbia, Sept. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unity Wireless Corporation (OTCBB:UTYW), a developer of integrated wireless subsystems, power amplifiers and coverage enhancement solutions, today announced that one of its U.S.-based tier-one telecom network OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers has been purchasing the Company's fully integrated RF (radio frequency) front-end compact wireless subsystems for immediate deployment along the U.S. Gulf Coast to support the restoration of wireless network communications services following the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina.

The compact IP-based RF front-end wireless subsystems are used in modular CDMA base stations for CDMA2000 1X and 1xEV-DO networks.
