SecureLogic Awarded Follow-On Contract for Optimization of Checked-Baggage Screening at European Airport

NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SecureLogic Corporation (OTCBB:SLGI) has been awarded its second contract for the enhancement of an in-line checked-baggage screening system at the newly built terminal of a major airport of a European country.

This follow-on contract calls for the conceptual design and development of functionality, interfacing protocols with baggage handling system (BHS) suppliers and the required coordination with the BHS supplier for implementation of iScreen-Line. The project is currently under way and is expected to be completed by November 2005.

The award of this contract follows the successful completion of SecureLogic's contracted assessment of a multilevel, automatic checked-baggage screening system (CBS) in the same terminal of the airport. Key criteria in the initial assessment included evaluating the ability of the airport's new CBS to meet or exceed all current local, regional and international security regulations and requirements. SecureLogic's review also included a comparative analysis of currently available, state-of-art screening equipment to identify the optimal machines for the project. The company was also commissioned to assess system throughput and capacity, evaluate detection performance, and provide the conceptual design for optimization of resources including equipment and personnel through the implementation of iScreen-Line.

Gary Koren, CEO of SecureLogic, stated, "This contract award reaffirms the customer's continued trust and confidence in SecureLogic's security screening solutions and is a crucial stage for the full deployment of the iScreen system at the specific site."

About iScreen-Line

iScreen-Line is the flagship product in SecureLogic's iScreen set of software products for command, control and monitoring of complex security screening operations. The software uses proprietary methodologies to manage and direct passenger, baggage and cargo security screening systems. iScreen-Line integrates with screening equipment, baggage handling and information systems to enable 100 percent checked-baggage screening. The software designates a specific screening process for each bag based on preset and real-time factors such as passenger destination, bag and flight status, system load and staff availability. It dynamically modifies system settings to ensure that the optimum screening process is executed. iScreen is designed to readily integrate new machines and modified procedures, ensuring that the airport can rapidly adjust its screening to meet changing regulations and to effectively counter new threats.
