MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- ATWEC Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ATWT) announced the opening of its new office in West Memphis, Arkansas.
Arkansas recently passed a new child safety law (Act 79), which require all vehicles transporting seven (7) passengers or more be equipped with a safety alarm system that prompt the driver or supervisor to inspect the vehicle for children before the alarm can be discharged. According to the state's Department of Human Services (DHS), more than half a dozen Arkansas children have been forgotten inside daycare vehicles just this year. One of them died because of the heat. A new law has been created to prevent that kind of tragedy is now in effect.
Arkansas schools are now working diligently to install these systems on all of their vehicles. The ATWEC KiddieVoice(tm) system was designed to specifically meet all of these legislative requirements.
