Splat Productions, a 3D Animation and Digital Multimedia Firm, Has Been Riding the Wave of Residential Development that Is Sweeping through the City of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- As part of the marketing and sales process, many real estate developers in the Philadelphia area have turned to Splat Productions to create a range of visual products -- from virtual tours and interactive maps to high-end digital illustrations for websites, brochures and sales panel displays. These products are the result of innovative creative services that allow developers to pre-sell units before breaking ground, markedly reducing the sales cycle.

After creating digital renderings depicting the exterior, interior, and amenity spaces of The Symphony House, Splat was rehired by the developer, Dranoff Properties, to craft a similar visual montage for Venice Lofts. Though the range of services provided were similar, the structures themselves are vastly different. The Symphony House, situated on the Avenue of the Arts, is a new multi-use building containing 163 luxury residential units, parking, retail space, and the Philadelphia Theater Company. In contrast, Venice Lofts is a renovated textile mill in Manayunk that will be exclusively loft-style condos. The use of Splat Productions in both marketing campaigns demonstrates the range of creative services the company provides.

Most recently, Splat Productions has been commissioned by the Delaware River Development Group to produce a variety of images for Marina View Towers. Located next to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on Columbus Boulevard, Marina View Towers offers dramatic views of the river and the city. A tour of the website (http://www.marinaviewtowerscondo.com) provides potential buyers with interior and exterior building illustrations, including amenities such as the raised sidewalk promenade and infinity pool on the top floor. The ability to show potential buyers an accurate space representation has made Splat Production's creative services extremely valuable.

In addition to the digital renderings that make up the bulk of the imagery, the Marina View Towers package includes an online interactive map of Philadelphia. The condominium is represented as a pulsing beacon, and when a broad category, such as museums, is selected, notable examples light up on the map. This tool gives a new high-tech spin to the presentation of the condominium's surrounding area, involving the viewer in a way no traditional map can offer. This attempt to interact with a potential buyer through novel techniques also explains the rising prevalence of virtual tours, which allow a viewer to experience the space as if walking through the building in person.

In attempting to show the modern comforts of projects, developers, as well as the legal, architecture, engineering and video business communities, among others, are letting modern images do the talking, and it appears Splat Productions has the vocabulary down to an art.
