Delta Invites Customers to Fly South This Winter

Delta offers sale fares for travel from Atlanta to Lima, Peru, and Santiago, Chile


ATLANTA, Sept. 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- As cooler fall temperatures begin to arrive in the Northern Hemisphere, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) invites customers to travel to warmer climates south of the equator. Delta is offering special low fall sale fares for a limited time on non-stop service between Atlanta, the airline's largest hub, to two popular South American destinations: Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru.

Between Oct. 1 and Jan. 28, Delta will begin seasonal Saturday-only service between Atlanta and Lima, in additional to its daily non-stop service. And on Dec. 15, Delta will add three-times-weekly service to its daily non-stop flight between Atlanta and Santiago.

Beginning today, for a limited time Delta is offering customers a special promotional fare of $429 roundtrip for travel between Atlanta and Lima, and $604 round-trip for travel between Atlanta and Santiago. Customers need to make their travel plans quickly, though, because tickets must be purchased by Oct. 3, 2005. These special promotional fares are valid for travel between Oct. 1 and Dec. 10, 2005, to Lima, or Dec. 15, 2005, to March 29, 2006, to Santiago. Fares require a two-night minimum stay.

Restrictions: Fares shown are available for purchase only on delta.com or from your travel agent. Tickets cost $10 more if purchased from Delta over the telephone or $15 more if purchased at an airport or city ticket office, and these amounts are nonrefundable. Travel agents may impose an additional service charge for ticketing. Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and fares may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Fare Validity: Fare is valid in the Economy (Coach) cabin on Delta flights only.
