Calypso Wireless Appoints New Management Team to Lead Calypso Patented Technology


MIAMI LAKES, Fla., Sept. 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Calypso Wireless, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CLYW), a leader in advanced wireless telecommunications technology, announced today that it has retained Mr. David Davila to serve as Calypso's President and Chief Executive Officer in order to bolster Calypso's ability to deliver its product to market and enforce its patent rights. Former Calypso president David Davila, who led Calypso to its successful attainment of its ASNAP(tm) patented technology, for which it was granted U.S. Patent #6,680,923 titled "Communication system and method" (http://www.uspto.gov search U.S. patent number 6,680,923), which covers the seamless roaming of voice, video and data between Wide Area Network access points, such as cellular towers (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA, WCMDA etc.) and short-range Internet access points (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.) is returning as President and CEO.

Davila replaces interim president George Schilling, who will return to serving Calypso in a consulting capacity after having led Calypso during a transitional period. Calypso has also named prominent Miami Attorney and Miami Lakes Commissioner Mr. Michael Pizzi as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Pizzi worked for many years for the federal government, before commencing a successful law practice, which culminated in his partnership with the prominent Miami law firm Bierman, Shohat, Loewy and Pizzi. He was previously employed at Morgan, Lewis and Backius where he performed work for American Airlines, Lockhead Martin and Nestle among other companies. Among the tasks for Mr. Pizzi, who spearheaded the recent Calypso equity investment with design firm RV Technology Limited in Hong Kong, will be enforcing the company's patent rights. I believe that having an on-site General Counsel will help the company fulfill all of its legal needs in a more efficient and cost effective fashion and assist in guiding the company as it moves forward in delivering its cell phones to market worldwide," said Michael Pizzi, Vice President and General Counsel of Calypso Wireless Inc.

Finally, Calypso announced that Cheryl Dotson, former Chief of Staff to Houston Mayor Lee Brown, and innovative businesswomen and Executive, will be assuming the duties of CFO. Ms. Dotson, who formerly worked for KPMG, has extensive experience as an executive at all levels of private and government operations, including the City of Houston, the District of Columbia and other governmental entities. She brings 30 years of experience as a successful CPA, auditor and businesswomen to the Calypso family. During these years, she performed audits, prepared financial statements and developed long term financial and business plans as president of her own consulting company.
