Board Member C.N. van der Spek Leaves Van Lanschot


'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, Sept. 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Van Lanschot announced today that the bank and its member of the Board of Management Mr Carel N. van der Spek (57) have amicably agreed upon his resignation from the Board of Management and as a statutory director of the bank.

The Supervisory Board and the Board of Management wish to thank Mr Van der Spek for his contribution to the success of the bank. The introduction of the bank's depository receipts on the stock exchange in 1999 and the acquisition of CenE Bankiers in 2004 are among the numerous projects to which Mr Van der Spek contributed which the bank gratefully acknowledges.

Following the end of his notice period on 31st March 2006 and in accordance with contractual arrangements a severance payment will be made to Mr Van der Spek of Eur 1.1 million gross; this payment includes compensation for reduced pension benefits.
