East Delta Resources Discloses Information on Mining-Related Activities at Bake

MONTREAL, Oct. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- East Delta Resources Corp. (OTCBB:EDLT) (Frankfurt:EJK) announced several important news items concerning events at its anchor property, Bake, in Jinping County, Guizhou Province (China).

1. Increase in Size of Tenement. The Bake property acquired last year by EDLT through its Joint Venture with the local mining authorities originally was to have been 72 sq. km. The final license, as approved and confirmed by the Chinese Central Government's Ministry of National Land Resources, has extended the allotment and now gives the JV a total of 85 sq. km. The additional territory is adjacent to several producing gold mines and lies on the same geological formations as these mines.

2. As previously announced, the vastness of the property permits East Delta to explore and develop many sub-sections simultaneously limited only by financial resources. The Company has thus far sectioned off three zones within Bake, with the eventual number potentially reaching up to ten independent mine-able areas. Preliminary geo-chemical and geo-physical results in Zone 1 have previously been disclosed and were deemed encouraging.

3. Today, the Company announced the commencement of work to perform geo-chemical and geo-physical exploration in two additional zones at Bake, each being three square kilometers in size, and each adjacent to an existing gold mine.

Victor Sun, President and CEO of East Delta, stated, "In recent months we have begun to accelerate our activities at Bake with the primary aim of proving gold resources by next summer. The geo-chemical results to-date have been extremely encouraging and our vision of seeing Bake as a world-class mine is very much on track. All this is in addition to our aggressive on-going acquisition program to purchase producing gold mines."
