BOSTON, Oct. 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) today announced a major expansion of service from Boston's Logan International Airport to five new cities, including up to 10 new flights to New York's JFK International Airport; and additional new daily service to Austin, Texas; Nassau, The Bahamas; Richmond, Va.; and West Palm Beach, Fla. With this new service to New York's JFK, Bostonians will also benefit from expanded new connecting flight opportunities to 27 cities, including 15 previously unserved destinations, including Phoenix, Ariz.; San Diego, Calif.; Aquadilla, Ponce and San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Santiago, Dominican Republic. JetBlue will triple the number of destinations for Bostonians by April 6, 2006.

The new nonstop service will be flown with EMBRAER 190 100-seat aircraft, and will be the first JetBlue flights to offer more than 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio(1). When combined with the airline's current offering of 36 channels of DIRECTV programming, JetBlue will offer the most live entertainment options of any airline.

The low-fare airline also announced a major expansion of service from its hometown of New York: Austin and Richmond will be served daily from New York's JFK International Airport, and the airline will increase service to Burlington, Vt. and Buffalo, New York.

"Earlier this year, JetBlue signed an agreement with Massport to significantly increase service for Boston customers," said JetBlue's CEO David Neeleman. "Today, as we officially welcome of our first EMBRAER 190 aircraft, we can continue to make good on that promise by announcing low-fare, high-quality service between Boston and our new JetBlue cities of Austin and Richmond, plus new nonstop service from Boston to Nassau, New York and West Palm Beach. Bostonians will also have expanded or new connecting flight opportunities to 27 JetBlue cities. We will add one more gate at Logan every six months over the next three years, and we will take delivery of one new E190 aircraft every 20 days in 2006 and 16 new Airbus 320s next year, so there's plenty of room to grow."

"Since JetBlue launched their successful Boston service in January 2004, Bostonians have enjoyed their low fares and award winning customer service," said Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. "With the addition of these five exciting new destinations, I congratulate JetBlue and I look forward to watching JetBlue grow further still at Logan."

Up to 10 New Flights Between New York -- Boston

Offering up to 10 daily nonstop flights between Boston and New York's JFK International Airport also opens up new connecting service between Boston and 15 previously unserved destinations: Aquadilla, Puerto Rico; Buffalo, N.Y.; Burbank, Calif.; New Orleans, La.; Ontario, Calif.; Portland, Ore.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Ponce, Puerto Rico; Rochester, N.Y.; San Diego, Calif.; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Salt Lake City, Utah; Sacramento, Calif.; Santiago, Dominican Republic; and Syracuse, N.Y.

The new daily flights between Boston and New York also serve to supplement existing or new nonstop service with new connecting service between Boston and: Denver, Colo.; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Long Beach, Calif.; Orlando, Fla.; Nassau, The Bahamas (new nonstop service effective Feb. 2, 2006); Oakland, Calif.; West Palm Beach, Fla. (new nonstop service begins Nov. 8, 2005); Richmond, Va. (new nonstop service begins April 6, 2006); Fort Myers, Fla.; Seattle, Wash.; and Tampa, Fla.
