Ortivus Receives its First German Order and Installs Integrated IT-Solutions at Clinics in Monchengladbach

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 17, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Together with German subsidiary MEDOS AG, which was acquired in late May 2005, Ortivus will install integrated IT-solutions at the clinics of Maria Hilf in Monchengladbach. The order includes MEDOS' integrated PACS Solution (Picture Archiving and Communications System) and Ortivus' mobile IT-solution, MobiMed, which facilitates communication between ambulances and hospitals. This is Ortivus' first MobiMed installation in Germany.

The 1.4 million euro project is to be completed in the beginning of 2006 and will strengthen Ortivus' competitive position in Germany. The German subsidiary MEDOS already has a strong position on the German market with its sophisticated solutions for the fields of radiology and pathology. By digitizing radiology operations, a more efficient workflow is achieved through enhanced availability of image and patient data, both within and between departments. This in turn helps ensure fast, effective responses and better patient care. MEDOS' services therefore complement the Ortivus portfolio that is comprised by decision-making tools that facilitates the emergency service and patient management processes.

"The order from the clinics in Monchengladbach is the first example on how we can use our synergies and integrate products in order to support the processes involved in the chain of care. We will continue to focus on efficient integration, as well as on finding relevant channels to further expand and develop our offer", says Mikael Strindlund, CEO Ortivus AB.
