Delta Offers Escape from the Cold to the Sunshine State

New flights offer convenient new Florida options for New York City customers

NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The opportunity to leave frigid weather behind for warmer temperatures just got easier for Delta customers in New York City. Just in time for the holiday travel season, Delta Connection carrier Comair will begin new direct service from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Fort Myers and Sarasota, Fla. and from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Miami. And special low introductory fares will make a visit even more inviting.

"As we continue to respond to our customers' preferences, we are delighted to offer additional non-stop service between New York and the Sunshine State," said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president of Network Planning. "These new flights build on Delta's already strong market presence in Florida and correspond to our transformation strategy to offer more competitive service where our customers want to go and when they want to travel. Our new flight from Miami to JFK, for example, allows convenient connections to many of our trans-Atlantic flights out of New York."

-- Effective Nov. 1, Comair will operate two daily roundtrip flights
between LaGuardia Airport and Fort Myers, Fla.
