'Stir The Pot With Harry!': Harry's Fresh Foods Launches Recipe Contest

Prepared Food Manufacturer Now Accepting Deliciously Original Recipe Submissions

PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Harry's Fresh Foods, playful producers of always fresh, never frozen, prepared foods, announce "Stir the Pot with Harry!," a contest which challenges inspired and aspiring home chefs to submit original recipes to compete for inclusion in the company's spring 2006 line of easy-to-prepare, ready-to-eat offerings. In addition to inclusion in the spring line, the winning recipe's product packaging will feature the name of the winner and the story of how the recipe originated.

"At Harry's, 'fresh' is our middle name," reminds Rod "Harry" Harris, the company's founder and owner. "This is a fun way for us to add new recipes to our product line and give kitchen cooks nationwide a chance to put their favorite concoctions under the spotlight."

Submissions are limited to recipes for one-of-a-kind, kettle-cooked soups and will be accepted until December 15, 2005. The recipes will be judged by a panel of five celebrities and culinary experts, including:

-- Rod "Harry" Harris, founder and owner, Harry's Fresh Foods
-- Ron Hendren, corporate executive chef, Harry's Fresh Foods
-- Molly Watson, food writer, Sunset Magazine
-- Sara Perry, food columnist, The Oregonian
-- Vitaly Paley, James Beard Award-winning chef and owner, Paley's
    Place in Portland, Ore.

All submissions must include the recipe along with the cook's name, address, telephone number and email address. Recipes can be submitted electronically at www.harrysfresh.com/stirthepot. To submit via mail, download an entry form at www.harrysfresh.com/stirthepot and mail to:
