Emulex Showcases FC-SATA Technology, Server Virtualization and 4 Gb/s Solutions at SNW Fall 2005

 -- In the Emulex booth number P23, Emulex will display a complete 
    end-to-end enterprise solution featuring servers, storage and 
    management software from HP, coupled with the breadth of Emulex 
    products, including the Emulex-based FC Mezzanine card for use 
    within HP BladeSystem. Furthermore, the HP EVA 5000 storage 
    subsystem highlights the benefits of switched back-end 
    connectivity utilizing InSpeed Embedded Storage Switches to 
    enhance the system's availability, serviceability and performance. 
    A live demonstration of HP System Insight Manager 5.0 also 
    illustrates the enhanced SAN management capabilities leveraged via 
    the Emulex SMI-S HBA Provider, to enable an integrated server and 
    storage management solution with native support of Emulex HBA 
    management tools, such as HBAnyware.

 -- In Platinum Galleria Kiosk PG11, Emulex is teaming with an 
    ecosystem of partners to demonstrate a complete storage system 
    running live FC-SATA technology. FC-SATA, initially demonstrated 
    at the Spring 2005 SNW conference, is a new technology designed to 
    natively connect near line ready SATA disk drives into enterprise 
    storage systems that use Fibre Channel embedded infrastructures to 
    lower storage system costs. FC-SATA is in the process of becoming

 -- In the FCIA SNW booth number G24, Emulex will demonstrate its 
    advances in 4Gb/s technology. Qualified for use within Windows and 
    Linux operating environments by major OEMs including Dell, EMC and 
    HP, Emulex's new 4Gb/s LightPulse HBAs provide customers with the 
    ability to double the speed of today's 2Gb/s storage networks, 
    while leveraging the flexible Emulex firmware-based architecture 
    to ensure backward compatibility and a seamless migration path.  
    Also included are 4 Gb/s SBODs based on Emulex's highly successful 
    InSpeed Embedded Storage Switches.

 -- In the SNIA Interoperability Lab, Microsoft features EZPilot -- 
    the industry's first multi-vendor storage provisioning application 
    from Emulex and Brocade, within its multi-vendor VDS technology 
    demo alongside the Microsoft Storage Manager for SANs. 

 -- Also in the SNIA Interoperability Lab, Emulex HBAs are featured in 
    its SMI-S technology demonstration showcasing the Company's SMI-S

 -- In the Microsoft Storage Pavilion, Emulex and Brocade showcase
