Metso to Supply an MDF Production Line to Advance Fiber in Thailand


HELSINKI, Finland, Oct. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Metso Panelboard will supply an MDF production line to Advance Fiber Co. Ltd. The new line, scheduled for start-up in March 2007, will be for their mill in Tamaka, Karnchanaburi Province. The customer has requested that the value of the order is not disclosed. The order has been booked in the third quarter of 2005.

Metso Panelboard's delivery includes a fiber preparation system, single-stage drying, forming station and a pre-press. The new line will also be equipped with a 28-meter-long continuous press and complete outfeed equipment. The new line is primarily designed to produce thin MDF, ranging from 2 to 8 mm.

The market value of these types of fiberboard production lines typically ranges from EUR 15 million to 20 million, depending on the scope of delivery and production output.
