Elected Officials, Environmentalists to Discuss San Diego's Future


ADVISORY, Oct. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) --



    WHAT      A blue-ribbon panel of elected officials and
              environmentalists will discuss "San Diego's
              Environmental Challenges" at the Museum of
              Photographic Art, 1649 El Prado in Balboa Park.
              The forum, put on by the non-profit Greening of
              San Diego organization, is designed to spur public
              discourse on key societal issues.

    WHO       John Geesman, former commissioner of the California
              Energy Commission; Rick Halsey, California Native
              Plant Society; Calif. Sen. Christine Kehoe;
              Scott Peters, San Diego city councilman;
              Jim Peugh, Audubon Society; Bruce Reznik, San Diego
              Baykeeper; Ken Smokosa of the Sierra Club and
              Irene Stillings, executive director of the San Diego
              Regional Energy Office.  Ron Roberts, member of the
              San Diego County Board of Supervisors, will also attend.
