Other recent home raffles in Southern California (in Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara, Palos Verdes and Irvine) sold out in less than one month after tickets went on sale.

The home is just one of 180 prizes to be given away. Other cash prizes are $50,000, $25,000 or $10,000, seven cash prizes of $1,000 each, 10 cash prizes of $500 each and 160 cash prizes of $300 each.

Ticket buyers who purchase their tickets before November 30 will be eligible to participate in a December 8 "early bird" raffle to win a cash prize of $30,000, five cash prizes of $1,000 each and 34 cash prizes of $300 each.

Participants in the early bird raffle are still eligible to win the home or $1 million cash grand prize plus other prizes. Early bird ticket holders have approximately a 1 in 100 chance of at least doubling their money.

The 2,500 square foot, two-story home is completely remodeled and comes with five bedrooms and three baths. Upgrades include a new kitchen with granite counter tops, state-of-the-art appliances and a custom walk-in pantry; new custom ceramic tile and designer quality carpet throughout the house, all new double-glazed windows and an over-sized walk-in closet and whirlpool tub in the master suite. The home features a beautifully landscaped entertainer's backyard with pool. Located in one of the most scenic areas in California, Oak Park is conveniently located to shopping, schools and cultural enrichment.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the non-profit Conejo Jewish Day School (CJDS). The school is currently operating in leased facilities. It hopes to use funds from the raffle to acquire a permanent site to build its own school. "Our school draws students from as far away as North Hollywood and Tarzana to the east and from Ventura to the west so there is a real need," says Leora Langberg, CJDS board president. "The school combines Jewish traditions with strong academics in a nurturing environment. Once we have a home of our own, we hope to offer a kindergarten through 12th grade experience."

Almost 70 students are enrolled in CJDS, now in its fourth year. The number of students is limited because of space constraints. "Eventually, we'd like to have room for a cafeteria, a gymnasium, a library, a science lab and computer room. We need an auditorium -- a place where we can all gather," explains Sharon Bolkin, CJDS assistant principal. "Every student is special. We give our students an education for life while they learn values and ideas that are applicable right now. Our goal is to develop students into well-educated, well-balanced and productive members of the community."

The February 14 grand prize drawing will be held at the Canyon Club (28912 Roadside Dr., Agoura Hills). The winner need not be present.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 866-WIN-1-HOME (866-946-1466). Checks, money orders and credit card payments are accepted. Ticket purchase forms, rules and regulations, home floor plan, pictures, virtual tour and other raffle information are available online at www.winahomenow.com.
