Pergo's CFO resigns


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 01, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today, Staffan Soderqvist has announced his resignation as CFO and Deputy CEO of Pergo AB.

"Staffan, during his 1 1/2 years with Pergo, played an important role in implementing the Company's strategy and improving results. It is unfortunate that Staffan Soderqvist has chosen to leave at this time, however I understand and respect his decision," says Tony Sturrus, CEO of Pergo AB.

"I particularly appreciated his counsel and helpfulness during the last six months as the European improvement program was implemented. I thank him for his effort, contributions and wish him well."

Staffan Soderqvist will remain in his position as CFO until the end of January 2006.

Pergo is a leading flooring company with leading market positions, particularly in Europe and the USA. Pergo's net sales amount to approximately SEK 2.8 billion and the number of employees is around 700. Pergo developed laminate flooring at the end of the 1970s and launched the product in Europe during the 1980s. The company initiated sales in the US in 1994 and on a smaller scale later in Asia in 1995 and Latin America in 1997. The company's products have been marketed under the PERGO(R) brand since 1989.
