(Nasdaq:QLGC), the company that powers storage area networks, today announced that EMC will resell QLogic SANbox 3050 Fibre Channel switches, as part of its EMC(r) Select Program. SANbox 3050 switches are available as individual products or as part of bundled solutions with the EMC CLARiiON(r) CX300 networked storage system. The EMC Select Program was designed to make it easier for customers to acquire best-in-class infrastructure products to complete their EMC storage solutions and to enable businesses to implement information lifecycle management (ILM) strategies.

Featuring a level of affordability and ease-of-use required by small- to medium-sized businesses, QLogic SANbox 3050 Fibre Channel switches are qualified by EMC as E-Lab Tested(tm) for use with CLARiiON AX100 and CLARiiON CX300 networked storage systems. The EMC Select Program allows customers to purchase QLogic SANbox 3050 switches and SANblade(r) host bus adapters (HBAs) with SANsurfer(r) software from EMC sales representatives and channel partners, simplifying the ordering and implementation of world-class storage solutions for EMC's customers.
