These new solutions enable operators to actively test and monitor services from a subscriber perspective. Operators utilize the resulting real-time availability and performance information to increase service quality, increase revenue and reduce costs.

The six new Casabyte RCATS solutions announced today are as follows:
HSDPA - Remote Test Probe The RCATS family of Remote Test Probes (RTPs) now includes support for HSDPA. As an evolution to the 3G UMTS access network, HSDPA provides subscribers with a mobile broadband service, including high- speed Internet access from their laptops and smartphones. The solution uses actual mobile devices to test HSDPA service from an end-user perspective and provides real-time availability and performance information that is used to improve service quality. iDEN - Remote Test Probe To support operators who have deployed iDEN networks, Casabyte has added support for iDEN to the RCATS family of RTPs. The solution actively tests voice, data and messaging services using actual iDEN devices embedded in the RCATS RTP. The RCATS solution combines a centralized Quality of Service management system with remotely- located RTPs that are deployed throughout the operator's network, providing availability and performance information from an end-user perspective. IREG Roaming Service Validation Package The RCATS IREG solution was designed to support the type of automated testing required by the various GSM IREG/IR recommendations. Specifically, the RCATS solution automatically executes a variety of voice, data and messaging test cases in accordance with the GSM IREG specifications. A centralized SIM multiplexer provides access to combinations of roaming partners' SIMS and generates IREG reports that can be directly provided to the operator's roaming partners. The solution eliminates much of the costly manual testing currently performed and increases the frequency of monitoring so that problems are discovered earlier. IVR Service Validation Package The RCATS Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solution enables operators to automatically validate the availability and performance of automated, interactive voice systems. The solution provides voice and DTMF tone generation, language-independent voice recognition, and dynamic conditional scripting to validate the proper operation, response and menu-branches for IVR systems. IVR support is offered as an optional Service Validation Package (SVP) within the Casabyte RCATS solution. BlackBerry Service Validation Package The RCATS BlackBerry solution monitors the Quality of Service (QoS) experienced by BlackBerry e-mail users. The BlackBerry Service Validation Packages (SVP) enables wireless network operators to automatically monitor the availability and performance of BlackBerry e-mail service within their network. The solution provides a handset-embedded software agent for actual BlackBerry mobile devices that is fully integrated with the centralized RCATS Quality of Service management system. The solution is deployed throughout the operator's wireless network to test the BlackBerry e-mail service from an end-user perspective. QoSExecutive QoSExecutive is the latest addition to the RCATS family of centralized Quality of Service management systems. QoSExecutive provides a next-generation, Web-based graphical user interface and reporting tools that enable operators to more effectively manage their portfolio of subscriber services across multiple geographical locations. QoSExecutive works in conjunction with the existing RCATS centralized management systems, including QoSDirector, QoSManager, QoSAuditor, and the Mobile Identity (MI) Server.
