STOXX, Ltd. Changes the Composition of the European Benchmark Indexes

Fourth Regular Quarterly Review to be Effective on December 19, 2005


ZURICH, Switzerland, Nov. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- STOXX, Ltd. today announced changes in the composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 Index, the Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index and its sector indexes, the Dow Jones EU Enlarged Total Market Index and the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.

Effective with the open of European markets on December 19, 2005 the following eleven stocks will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX 600 and its respective size and sector indexes: TENARIS (Luxembourg, Basic Resources), VERBUND (Austria, Utilities), FRAPORT (Germany, Industrial Goods & Services), MEINL EUROPEAN LAND (Austria, Financial Services), SALZGITTER (Germany, Basic Resources), FADESA INMOBILIARIA (Spain, Financial Services), RAUTARUUKKI 'K' (Finland, Basic Resources), RHM (United Kingdom, Food & Beverage), BOURBON (France, Retail), BURREN ENERGY (United Kingdom, Oil & Gas) and UNIPOL ASSICURAZIONI (Italy, Insurance).

Due to Electrabel deletion the highest ranked addition, TENARIS, will be added to the indices already effective November 18, 2005.

Companies exiting the index are: OUTOKUMPU (Finland, Basic Resources), SMITH (WH) (United Kingdom, Retail), HMV GROUP (United Kingdom, Retail), DE LA RUE (United Kingdom, Industrial Goods & Services), BURBERRY (United Kingdom, Personal & Household Goods), MICRONAS SEMICONDUCTOR (Switzerland, Technology), ARNOLDO MONDADORI EDITORE (Italy, Media), MFI FURNITURE GRP (United Kingdom, Retail), RCS MEDIAGROUP (Italy, Media) and EDISON (Italy, Utilities).

The market sectors for the following Dow Jones STOXX 600 components will change: TOMKINS (United Kingdom) from Automobiles & Parts to Industrial Goods & Services, ENAGAS (Spain) from Oil & Gas to Utilities, PIRELLI & CO. ORD (Italy) from Industrial Goods & Services to Automobiles & Parts and INMARSAT (United Kingdom) from Telecommunications to Technology.

As of October 31, 2005 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX 600 increased from EUR 5619.374 billion to EUR 5629.677 billion and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index from EUR 6006.625 billion to EUR 6037.880 billion.

The Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 and the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index are also part of this regular quarterly review. The new composition of the indexes can be found at http://www.stoxx.com/info/reports/reviews2005.html

As of October 31, 2005 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 index increased from EUR 18,673.108 billion to EUR 18,701.689 billion, and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index increased from EUR 63.245 billion to EUR 64.353 billion.

The composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index will remain unchanged. The total free-float market capitalization of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index is EUR 698.81 million.

The pricing source for Royal Dutch Shell A (ISIN: GB00B03MLX29) will be changed from LSE to Euronext (Amsterdam) due to liquidity reasons. The close of Royal Dutch Shell A on December 16 will be converted to EUR using the GBP/EUR exchange published at 17:00 CET by WM company to calculate the opening for December 19.

The regional classification remains unchanged. Royal Dutch Shell (incorporated in the U.K.) will not be eligible for Dow Jones STOXX Eurozone indexes, including Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50, Dow Jones EURO STOXX and its respective sector indexes.

Changes are being announced today after the conclusion of a regular quarterly component review. The adjusted component weightings, including the number of shares and free-float factors, will be announced on December 14, 2005 after close of European markets. All changes will be effective on December 19, 2005.
